I'm upset with myself.

When I downloaded the shots from my card and added them to my catalog, I realized I went a full four months without touching my camera. It felt foreign over the weekend, I couldn't remember how to do basic things.

It was nice to get away from everything though.

We took a short walk through the woods to the rock beach and had the area to ourselves. As I was getting my gear ready, I forgot that I didn't put my lens cap in my pocket. It rolled right down into the lake and immediately sank. Joey (left) was the hero of the day and stripped down to his boxers to dive in for it so I didn't lose it.

The water was freezing and Joey was soaked. Dain (on the right) borrowed the flint I had with me and started a fire so poor Joey could warm up for a while before the sun went down and it was time to head back to our campsite.

River is the one in the back. He's a 13 year old boy, so it's no surprise that the instant he found cell phone coverage he was back in touch with his friends.

I love Roger's Rock - and Joey! It's also worth noting that he remembered where I put my wallet when I started freaking out the next day thinking I lost it.
